Elias Angulo Chen

Elias Angulo Chen is a political communicator and researcher with a strong background crafting narratives for progressive change makers at the local, state, and national level.  Most recently serving as Wisconsin Press Assistant for the Kamala Harris presidential campaign, Elias helped shape state-wide messaging in the nation's most competitive battleground - drafting remarks for national figures, producing press releases, and coordinating media outreach.

With prior roles at the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee and End Citizens United, Elias has built a portfolio of high-impact writing from policy briefs and political memos to

communications for down-ballot and statewide races.

He brings extensive experience managing high-pace writing teams, editing public-facing materials, and translating complex policy into clear, mobilizing language. Whether developing rapid response copy or training new writers, Elias approaches political storytelling with clarity, depth, and purpose grounded in values of inclusion and voice.

Chandra Chouhan

Chandra Chouhan is a political strategist and nonprofit leader with an extensive record in mobilization, community building, and issues advocacy. With years of experience across state, local, and presidential campaigns—most recently leading Asian American engagement efforts in Wisconsin AAPI for both Biden-Harris and Harris-Walz campaigns—Chandra brings deep knowledge of culturally informed voter engagement and strategic organizing.

Currently serving as Senior Executive Assistant to the CEO at Interfaith America and Executive Director of Chup, Go Vote!, Chandra centers her work on equity, access, and amplifying marginalized voices—especially within South Asian American communities. Her career reflects a commitment to youth leadership, coalition development, and data-driven campaign execution.

With experience spanning field strategy, donor engagement, and legislative affairs, Chandra bridges grassroots wisdom with high-level coordination. Her nontraditional path into politics enables her to cultivate systems that truly reflect the communities they serve.

Samyuktha Kumar

Samyuktha Senthil Kumar is a strategist, storyteller, and cultural organizer shaping the future of healthcare and politics through the lens of narrative power and equity. As Director of Communications and Messaging at HUM, she spearheads bold, culturally grounded campaigns that elevate AAPI candidates and reimagine what inclusive, community-driven politics can be.

Her interdisciplinary background spans congressional health equity work with Representatives Lisa Blunt Rochester and Jasmine Crockett, maternal health policy development with Fort Bend County, and digital health innovation through Health Wildcatters. With a unique ability to bridge field strategy, creative communications, and policy research, Samyuktha drives systems-level change anchored in equity, representation, and coalition-building.

A lifelong dancer and founder of a platform for third-culture artists, she brings a deeply creative lens to her work—using movement and media to illuminate the complexity of immigrant identity and diaspora experiences. Samyuktha is currently pursuing her MD/MPH at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, where she focuses on advancing equity-driven solutions at the intersection of clinical care and public policy.

Pranav Volety

Pranav Volety is a multidisciplinary activist, scholar, and creative director using storytelling, science, and strategy to build impactful campaigns and clear narratives. As the founder of several nonprofits and creative ventures, he leads national efforts focused on Indigenous cultural innovation, policy, and community design.

With experience as creative lead for U.S. Senate and mayoral campaigns alike, he has directed content strategy, policy briefs, and voter education for justice and accessibility movements. His nearly decade-long experience in the creative industry has kept him on the pulse of culture. His creative direction spans fashion, public health, and political campaigns, emphasizing narrative clarity and systems transformation: working with legends from Virgil Abloh to Antonio Brown on viral marketing campaigns, creative direction, and culturally competent media. Pranav’s creative expertise drives the vision of Hum and its affiliated campaigns.

Currently, Pranav conducts research on women’s reproductive health as a PhD student in the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign, affiliated with Chan Zuckerberg BioHub and the Institute of Genomic Biology.
